Money Manager is one of the most downloaded expense trackers in India, and it is a genuinely good one: double-entry, budgets, a PC view. Everything in it is typed in by hand, and none of it is shared with anyone. Splitkaro trades some of that depth for spending that files itself and groups you can split with.
Money Manager if you want a double-entry ledger with weekly and monthly budgets and you do not mind typing every entry. Splitkaro if you would rather your bank SMS filled the ledger in, and some of what you spend needs splitting with someone.

Money Manager on the App Store — checked September 2026
If you want a personal ledger you keep by hand and never share, Money Manager is the better fit. If most of what you want tracked already arrives as a bank or UPI SMS, and some of it needs splitting with a flatmate, Splitkaro does that without the typing.
Its App Store listing describes manual entry, automatic transfers between accounts, and card management, but no automatic bank import or SMS reading. Splitkaro reads the debit alerts your bank already sends and parses them on your device.
No. It is a single-person ledger. Splitting, group balances and settling up are what Splitkaro adds on top of personal tracking.
Not in the way Money Manager does. Splitkaro shows what you actually spent, paid and received across every group, day by day; if formal weekly and monthly budgets are what you want, Money Manager is stronger there today.
Your bank already texts you every spend. Splitkaro turns those into your ledger. Free on Android and iOS.
