What is an expense on Splitkaro?
An expense on Splitkaro is a payment record to be split among a bunch of friends.
How can I create an expense?
1. Tap the ‘+’ icon at the bottom right corner of the home screen
2. Select “Add an expense”
3. Add your friends from your contact list
4. Fill in the expense details and split it the way you wish
5. Tap “Submit expense”
How many people are required to create an expense?
A minimum of two people are required to create an expense.
Who can see my expenses?
Expenses are visible to everyone involved in them.
Where can I view my created expenses?
Tap the “Bills” tab on the bottom bar of the home screen.
Can I edit or delete an expense?
Yes. Select your expense from the “Bills” page, then tap the edit or bin icon.
Can other people edit or delete an expense?
Yes, any person involved in the expense can edit or delete it.
What are the different ways I can split an expense?
Equally — the amount is divided evenly.
Unequally, by amount — you specify each friend’s share.
Unequally, by shares — you specify a ratio for each friend.
Item-wise — each item is split by who actually consumed it. More details in the Item-wise splitting FAQ.
How can I enable priority settlement for my expense?
Create a “priority bill” instead of a normal expense — it gets a due date and automatic reminders. More details in the Priority Bills FAQ.
What are balances?
Balances are simply the money you owe, or are owed.
What are the different methods to settle my balances?
Group settlement — settle balances for a group’s expenses from its “Balances” tab.
Friend settlement — settle all group and non-group balances with a friend together from the “Friends” page.
Priority settlement — priority bills are settled individually from the “Priority” tab of the “Bills” page.

What are the available modes to settle my balances?
You can record a payment for now — pay however you like and mark it as settled in the app.
