Groups.

Running ledgers for the people you split with most — flatmates, trips, the college gang.

What are groups?
A group is a running ledger of expenses with friends you spend with frequently, on an ongoing basis.
Where do I use a group?
1. Create groups with the people you split the most with — flatmates, the college gang, besties, colleagues, your partner. 2. Use them for trips, household expenses, regular sports, frequent hangouts, and more. 3. Best for expenses you are comfortable letting stack up and settling later.
What is the benefit of creating a group?
A group lets you add and split expenses with the same set of people on a regular basis. You can track the expense list, the group’s total spend, and each person’s share in one place, and settle up whenever it suits everyone.
How do I create a group?
1. Tap the “Groups” tab on the bottom bar of the home screen 2. Tap “Create a group” on the top right 3. Enter a group name and select the group type 4. Tap “Create” 5. Add members

What is “Simplify balances” in a group?
“Simplify balances” restructures debt within a group. It never changes what anyone owes in total — it just minimises the number of payments needed to settle. For example, if Roy owes ₹100 (or $100) to Adi and Adi owes the same to Ali, the app will simply show that Roy owes Ali — one payment instead of two.
How can I settle a group expense?
You settle your overall group balances with friends inside the group itself. 1. Go to the group you want to settle 2. Tap the “Balances” tab 3. Tap “Settle up” against the friend you want to settle with
Can we send reminders to group members?

A group is for splitting with the same set of people on a regular basis. A collection keeps related bills for a particular day or event together, and can live inside a group or outside one.
How do I add a new person to an existing group?
Two ways: 1. Tap the ‘+’ icon inside the group and choose “Add a member” 2. Add the new person while creating an expense inside the group — we automatically add them to the group
How do I remove a person from a group?
From the group’s settings page: 1. Tap the settings icon in the group header 2. Tap the member you want to remove Note: a member with an unsettled balance in the group cannot be removed.
How do I delete a group?
Open the group you want to delete and tap the trash icon on the top right. Note: once a group is deleted, all unsettled balances from that group are removed from your friends’ balances too.
Can I undelete a deleted group?
Yes. Once a group is deleted, the action shows up in the “Activity” section (the bell icon on the home page) with a “Restore” option — just in case someone deleted it by mistake.
