Priority Bills.

Bills with a due date and automatic reminders, settled bill-by-bill outside the ledger.

What is a priority bill?
A priority bill is treated as a priority and is not part of the regular ledger. It has a due date, and friendly reminders are sent automatically to ensure it gets settled on time.
What is the use of a priority bill?
A priority bill prioritises a particular expense — without the awkwardness of asking friends for your money again and again.
How is a priority bill different from a regular expense?
1. It has a due date 2. Intelligent reminders are sent automatically for timely settlement 3. It is not added to the friends’ ledger 4. It is settled independently, bill by bill 5. You can only create cash records for it 6. There is a provision to settle your friend’s share too
Can I add a priority bill inside a group?
No. Priority bills can only be added individually, outside groups.
How do I create a priority bill?
1. Tap the ‘+’ icon at the bottom right of the home screen 2. Select “Add a priority bill” 3. Fill in the expense details 4. Tap “Submit expense”
What is the due date of a priority bill?
The due date is fixed at 5 days from the bill’s creation. For now, it isn’t configurable.
Is a priority bill’s balance added to my friends’ balances?
No. Priority-bill balances are not added to friends’ balances — they are highlighted separately in the app.
How often are reminders sent for priority bills?
The reminders are intelligent — they are timed based on your friends’ past payment behaviour and the approaching due date.
How can I settle a priority bill?
A priority bill is settled independently. Pay from your UPI app and record the payment in Splitkaro.
